Mike and the entire staff and M & R have been incredible. This is the second time I've taken my Land Rover there and it has been the best service I've ever gotten. Everyone is ready to ask any question and is very helpful. Even better - the prices have been great! It's true you pay for what you get, but in this case I feel like I got heck of a lot more. I'll be taking my vehicles there for as long as I'll live in Chicago; I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Friendly Family Business that delivers excellent service! What I came in for: Brakes were squeaking. What I liked: They were very through and showed me digital pictures of my rotors and pads that needed replacement. They even emailed them to me, which I thought was brilliant. But the best part of this whole experience was when they told me they could deliver my car since we had that bad snow storm. How convenient, I didn't even have to leave my house in that terrible snow storm. Bottom Line: Overall, great experience & outstanding customer service! The amount of personalized attention they gave me was priceless. I will definitely bring my car back.

M&R is a family owned company and they give you the care that a good family member or friend would give you. Mike and Mike Jr. take care of their customers. They have great insight and they're a great place to go for a pre-buy inspection before you make your buy.

I am surprised at the number of bad reviews this business is getting. I live nearby and have used them several times with great results. The first time was a cracked windshield, which they promptly repaired at a competitive price (I called around to several dealers and it was essentially the same as the lowest bidder). On our second visit, we had a very narrow window in which to get our plates mounted because we had to catch a flight, and the owner's son, Mike, dropped everything to install the brackets and the plates. It took 15 minutes out of his day, and he didn't even charge us anything. The people at the front desk were very friendly and worked to accommodate my schedule. Some of these reviews are complaining about price. I would say that you may be able to find better deals in some parts of the city, but given the convenient location and excellent personalized service, I will always go back to M&R. Even if it means paying an extra $50. I know the job will be done well, and there is highly accountability (given it is a family business); which is hard to find in a car repair shop these days.

I have been a customer for over five years and I have NEVER been disappointed with their service. The mechanics do excellent work, everyone is professional and super friendly and the prices aren't bad at all! M&R goes above and beyond to make sure your car receives the best repair service (they even check my oil, tires and fluids for me which I really appreciate!) I highly rececommend their business.

hmmm, i am not sure about all those negative reviews here; such complaints aren't warranted for my experiences at M&R; i have been going here for more than 8 years, with two different benzes, and except for the occasional (and minor) mis-step, i have had nothing but GOOD experiences with this family-run, small and hard-working group; in my judgment, the moran family and the guys who work for them are very conscientious of my needs, have taken excellent care of my cars (including some major repairs) and do routine maintenance just fine; my fluids are always topped off, the air pressure checked and adjusted, any messes cleaned up, etc; they go out of their way to get me a loaner when i need one, show me the parts they're going to use, and explain in detail what work needs to be done and how they're going to do it; if i spend a lot of money there, it's because i drive mercedes, not because they charge a lot (i have comparison shopped and their prices aren't any higher than others' for the same work); most issues that i have had over the years are about lack of or break-downs in communication - sometimes my own; the main point is that a relationship with an auto mechanic is 100% about trust, and the moran family has mine; that is a difficult thing in today's world - and when you drive an expensive car - but it's crucial.

Chris and the rest of the family at M&R are the best. From their personal service to the quality of their work I couldn't be happier. When I lived nearby they would even park my car back in my garage when they were done. Now even though I live a little bit further away, I still come for their sound advice and quality work. I started taking my car here after becoming totally disillusioned with the dealership and I haven't looked back.

Hmm... Not sure why there are so many negative posts. I have used them several times, and they have been nothing but great to work with. Their work is always perfect (and my car has been in a couple of bad wrecks). I have never been nickled or dimed, and I find their pricing to be competitive.
